Our Playgroups


At the hearT of Las Madres - Our Playgroups

Our neighborhood playgroups are the heart of Las Madres.  

Playgroups are where most members connect with other parents and the children enjoy playdates. Nothing substitutes for the ability to build friendships with parents who are faced with similar parenting issues. Many of our Las Madres members build lifelong friendships with the parents they meet through a Neighborhood Playgroup. 

Our playgroups span across Silicon Valley and are organized by neighborhood, and then by birth year.

HOW DO THE PLAYGROUPS WORK?

Las Madres Neighborhood Playgroups is made up of MANY playgroups.   Each Playgroup is made up of members who live in a specific neighborhood or area and have kids born within the same year.  Each playgroup is a part of a larger Club that includes all of the Playgroups within a specific area. 

Each playgroup has at a minimum 3 volunteers who help to run and organize the playgroups, however, we firmly belief you what out want you put in and encourage everyone to get involved to make their playgroup as fun and supportive group for yourself and everyone.



WHICH PLAYGROUP SHOULD I JOIN?

We have the playgroups shown in the following map.

When you sign up for a trial or full membership we recommend you join the playgroup for the your child's birth and in your neighborhood. You can trial up to 4 playgroups and when your trial is over you select the 2 you want to join as a full member.

If you live in the border of a couple playgroups feel free to join one or both.

If your child born at the beginning or end of the birth year, you may want to consider joining the previous or following year, to find the fit for you and your child.







TO BE PART A PLAYGROUP DO I NEED TO BE A MEMBER?

Yes, to be part of a playgroup you need to become a Las Madres member.  Membership is for a 1 year and costs $85 to join 1 playgroup.
