During this interactive, two-part workshop with the Parents Place. Partners learn about the research, principles, strategies, and skills needed to strengthen the partner relationship when it comes to parenting. Participants engage in group discussions and are given exercises to do both during and between sessions.

Who: Kiran Gaind, MS, of the Center for Children and Youth, a division of Jewish Family and Children's Services
Kiran is a mom to two young daughters and works as a modern parent coach. She provides compassionate, results-oriented support and intuitive parenting guidance. Kiran became a certified Integral Life and Leadership Coach with New Ventures West in 2011 and completed a one year Parenting by Connection certification course with Hand in Hand Parenting in Palo Alto. Before starting her coaching practice, she spent nine years working as a high school history teacher in San Francisco and Oakland and worked as a turnaround coach for elementary principals in San Jose. Kiran participated in a school redesign of Mission High School, funded by the Gates Foundation and supported by Stanford University, which led to breakthrough results for college attendance rates. She is a graduate of Cornell University and San Francisco State. Kiran practices meditation and yoga and uses the life, leadership, and parenting tools she teaches with her own family.
