Thinking about joining a “learning pod” this Fall? Unsure of where to start or how to go about it? With so much uncertainty from school districts, and recognizing the need for children to have safe, social connections with peers, parents are considering home-based, small group learning options for their kids.
Parent's Place parent educator, Jaime Haydel, M.A,* will show you tips and tricks for creating a successful “learning pod,” consider the benefits and challenges of keeping everyone safe, and share your thoughts and questions with other parents who may join or start a pod of their own.
Eventbrite registration is required, and ends on Tuesday, August 4 at 12 pm. Register at:
https://www.sclibrary.org/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/74284/7953.
Registrants will be sent access credentials on August 4 by 3 pm.
Cost: Free to members and guests
NOTE: A week later, on Tuesday, 8/11, a follow-up Parent Education webinar will be presented by the library on Resources for Learning Pods and Homeschoolers of Preschool - 5th grade.
