Choosing a Playgroup

Unsure about which playgroup to join?

To help you decide which playgroup is closest to you we have a few tools to help:

Please note: the boundary map and descriptions are meant to be used as a guide only. You may join any playgroup you wish.

  • Visit our Reference Line Volunteers' page for a listing of our Volunteers and their contact information - call them, they are happy to answer your questions

  • Call 1-877 Las-Madres for a listing of our Reference Line volunteers and their contact information.

  • View out Current Active Playgroup List to see if there is a playgroup in your neighborhood. They are grouped by the year of your baby's birth, so if your child was born in 2009, look under the Club 2009 heading.

 How To Join

  • Once you have decided which year and playgroup to join, go to our Online Membership Form page to join either as a Trial or a paid member.

  • Once you join, an automatic notification is also sent out to your playgroup. The New Member Contact for that group will contact you with information about the playgroup's activities.
  • You do not have to take any further action, except to accept the email invitation to join the Yahoo! group for your playgroup. If you do not hear from your playgroup within 3-5 days, please contact Leslie Proudfit, the Executive Reference Line Coordinator or email Las Madres' Contact Us.

Note to Working Moms

  • Our Working Moms group is separated by year but not by geographical area.  The Working Moms groups typically have more weekend or weeknights activities to accommodate work schedules. If you are planning to go back to work soon, you may want to trial working moms as well as your neighborhood playgroup.

If you are already a member of Las Madres and wish to add a child or add a playgroup, you cannot go through the registration process above. Please go to the Already a Member page for instructions.
